Job Summary
Perform diagnostic outpatient imaging on patients while ensuring proper radiation exposure requirements. Produce high-quality diagnostic images with correct patient positioning and operate equipment to assist radiologists during procedures. Maintain accurate documentation, input patient data into RIS, PACS, and VSDM systems, and comply with HIPAA privacy policies. Clean work areas, handle laundry, and stock supplies as needed. Attend required meetings and training sessions, which may occasionally occur outside regular hours.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Diagnostic Radiology Program of 2 or more years
- Must hold a current ARRT certificate
- Must continue to obtain the recommended amount of Continuing Educations Credits each year per certification(s)
- Continuing education in accordance of the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Frequently required to stand
- Frequently required to walk
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
