Job Summary
Conduct daily diagnostic imaging coverage in a high-volume, busy Level 1 Trauma environment, performing additional radiology procedures including select CT scans. Calibrate and operate radiology equipment while properly positioning patients and safely applying restraining devices. Lift and position patients as needed and maintain patient-centered care by communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff. Maintain current CPR certification and proficiency in hospital and radiology computer systems, including electronic filing systems. Requires an A.M.A.-approved radiologic technology degree, ARRT registration, Ohio license, and minimum two years of Level 1 Trauma experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current State of Ohio Radiographer License
- Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience
- Successful completion of training to perform additional radiology procedures (e.g., select CT procedures)
- Previous Level 1 Trauma Hospital experience
- Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, busy Level 1 Trauma environment
- Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and hospital staff
- Ability to calibrate and operate radiology equipment
- Ability to properly position patients and safely apply/adjust restraining devices
- Ability to lift and position patients as needed
- Current CPR Certification with the ability to initiate CPR
- Proficiency in using hospital and radiology computer systems, including electronic filing systems
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations while maintaining respect, dignity, and patient-centered care
