Job Summary
Perform x-rays on patients with work-related injuries and illnesses, positioning equipment and processing films under direct physician supervision while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Prepare patients for procedures, maintain clean imaging rooms, and keep accurate records of all exams. Greet and register patients, update medical records, take vital signs, and assist physicians with examinations and specimen collection. Administer medications and injections as directed, educate patients on occupational health and safety, and provide administrative support including scheduling and phone answers. Maintain HIPAA privacy regulations and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requires an active California Limited X-ray license and Medical Assistant certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active and current Limited X-ray license
- Front/Back Office Experience
- Microsoft Office & Computer Skills
- Familiarity with HIPPA policies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current California Limited X-ray Tech license in accordance with state of jurisdiction (Certificates and Permits) and maintain in good standing, including CEU's while employed by the company
- Completion of a certified Limited X-ray Tech program
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, including physical examination
