Job Summary
Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams as ordered by the physician, pre-screening for contraindications and ensuring patient safety. Select appropriate imaging parameters using differing X-ray equipment to produce high-quality studies and troubleshoot peripheral units including PACS and DICOM systems. Train and orient new technologists while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Demonstrate proficiency in EMR systems and proactively address workflow requirements to ensure timely image interpretation. Complete annual education and site-specific competencies as designated by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable
- BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or ACLS, where applicable
- Successful completion of a Radiology School
- Ability to work at several locations
