Job Summary
Provide operational and clinical leadership for specialty departments or service lines within rural hospitals, clinics, and public hospital districts across Wyoming. Lead, mentor, and develop clinical or technical teams while managing staffing, scheduling, productivity, and department workflows. Support safe, high-quality, patient-centered care by developing policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing for surveys and audits. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and executives to improve communication, coordinate across departments, and drive process improvement and service growth. Manage supplies, equipment, vendors, and budgets to ensure essential services remain reliable and connected to community needs.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience in the relevant clinical or ancillary specialty
- Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, supervisor, or comparable department leader
- Strong knowledge of department operations, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Experience leading teams, managing workflows, and supporting employee development
- The ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and executive teams
- Experience with budgeting, staffing, equipment, or performance improvement
- Rural hospital, Critical Access Hospital, public hospital district, or community healthcare experience
- Relevant education, licensure, registration, or certification based on the specialty
