Job Summary
Conduct vital sign collection, blood draws, and patient repositioning while preparing examination rooms and maintaining clinical equipment. Document medical histories, test results, and vital statistics in the electronic medical record, and provide pre- and post-operative education to patients. Monitor patient conditions, report emergencies to providers, and coordinate discharge instructions and follow-up care. Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, phone triage, registration, and insurance verification. Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient clinical workflows and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- BLS certification
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
