Job Summary
Oversee daily aquatics department operations, including staff training, coaching, and discipline. Ensure safe park operation by enforcing Guest First Standards and maintaining high throughput goals. Handle guest comments and complaints while assisting with aquatics work crew projects. Work assigned life guarding or ride attendant positions when necessary and respond immediately to emergency situations. Maintain High Pass or Exceeds ratings in all department audits and adhere to Six Flags testing procedures. This role offers flexible scheduling and promotion opportunities within the leadership track.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 - 2 years of aquatics experience (lifeguard, ride attendant)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess an enthusiastic and positive Guest First Orientation and enjoy working with people
- Ability to motivate with excellent leadership skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must achieve, receive and maintain Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Certification
- Outstanding performance as a team member
- Must be able to respond immediately, adapt to, and oversee all emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 or more hours at a time
- Applicants must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds
