Job Summary
Conduct visual inspections and moisture content checks on materials received at the Transfer station. Collect representative samples from incoming waste streams, analyse findings, and accurately record results in site quality logs and reporting systems. Identify contamination or quality concerns, escalate issues appropriately, and assist in investigations relating to rejected loads. Liaise daily with Operations personnel regarding sampling requirements and support site audits, inspections, and compliance activities. Carry out administrative duties, weighbridge cover, and sampling activities while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to accurately record and interpret information
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Ability to undertake manual handling activities and work in an outdoor operational environment where required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience within waste management, recycling or environmental operations
- Experience of quality sampling, inspection or compliance activities
- Knowledge of MF operations and waste streams
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures
