Job Summary
The Operations Specialist supports operating success across safety, training, and the mentoring of Field Operations and Logistics roles by implementing and assessing Operational KPI and Standard Work. They execute short- and long-term actions to improve safety, people, quality, delivery, costs, branch administration, and asset management; provides field coverage for branch admin and logistics tasks; delivers new hire and ongoing training for field employees; collaborates with Branch Operations Managers, Branch Coordinators, Market General Managers, Dispatchers, Transportation Coordinators, Production Supervisors, and corporate departments to implement Standard Work and KPI adherence; conducts site visits to assess performance and provide feedback; supports planning tools to ensure readiness for Unit on Rent growth; ensures systems and technical support enable safe, timely, cost-effective, high-quality revenue delivery; travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mobile, modular or construction industry in general building, remodeling, and supervision
- Experience in a high-profile role with frequent cross-department interaction
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, time-sensitive environment
- Strong customer presentation and communications skills
- Proven experience in a leasing business or in Logistics/transportation or construction-related industry
- Experience in culturally diverse, matrix organizations
- Proficient with MS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook; Salesforce.com or other CRM; SAP is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 25% of time
- Ability to work in various environments including offices, shop floors, and customer sites
- Frequent and extended overnight travel may be required
