Job Summary
Greet visitors, verify credentials, and manage traffic flow to ensure a safe and positive gym environment. Conduct regular equipment inspections, clean and sanitize high-touch areas, and organize equipment to designated storage. Monitor usage of spaces, assist with restocking supplies, and report safety concerns or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Collaborate with staff to support special programs and events while maintaining a responsible presence. Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to an efficient team.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to serve as the first point of contact for all gym visitors
- Ability to verify user credentials
- Ability to manage traffic flow, facility usage, and user behavior
- Ability to conduct regular equipment inspections
- Ability to assist in basic maintenance
- Ability to identify issues before they become hazards
- Ability to clean and sanitize high-touch areas and gym equipment
- Ability to organize and return equipment to designated storage areas
- Ability to monitor usage of equipment and gym spaces
- Ability to promote safe and appropriate use
- Ability to gain experience in risk management and user education
- Ability to assist with restocking supplies
- Ability to ensure locker rooms and restrooms remain clean and user ready
- Ability to report safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or user violations
- Ability to collaborate with staff to support special programs or events
- Ability to provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to patrons
- Ability to maintain a responsible, proactive presence
- Ability to act as a representative of campus wellness values
