WRRF Operator I

Monitor and perform daily wastewater treatment plant operations, ensuring efficient compliance with permitted limits. Inspect equipment and processes to determine maintenance needs, then start up, shut down, and adjust motors, pumps, compressors, and valves to meet changing conditions. Calibrate meters, monitor chemical rates, and enter process data into the computer system daily. Collect samples, conduct routine laboratory tests, record results, and coordinate solids handling procedures. Identify and correct safety issues, assist with troubleshooting technical and mechanical problems, and advise superiors of unusual operating problems. Perform preventive maintenance and assist with equipment repair and modification as needed. Maintain accurate work records and respond to inquiries, requests for assistance, and complaints. Serve on call as scheduled to ensure uninterrupted service for customers.
