Job Summary
Writer/Producer responsible for writing, shooting, and editing daily topical news promos and some news image spots. Proficient with After Effects and Premiere Pro; strong editorial and storytelling skills; must meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects, and work well under pressure. Reports to the Creative Services Director and collaborates across a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience creating compelling news topical promos
- Strong editing skills; Adobe Premiere experience preferred
- After Effects whiz, able to create high quality promos
- Ability to write, produce and edit promos start to finish
- Meet tight deadlines and adapt to whatever the project calls for
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints
- Demo reel speaks for itself & contains promos for topical and news image
