Job Summary
Develop and create online and print content, including news articles, feature stories, research news, videos, and social media materials that promote the University's research, academic initiatives, and student achievements. Identify, write, and translate complex research topics into accessible stories covering areas from quantum physics to social science, while planning the weekly research newsletter. Assist in developing marketing strategies to support admissions and research visibility, and maintain communication lines between University Communications, research institutes, and academic departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least two years of writing/marketing experience
- Excellent English speaker and writer
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency (speaking, listening, reading, cultural)
- Strong writing, translating, interviewing, and research skills
- Ability to translate scientific and academic findings into engaging research news pieces, social media posts, and graphic presentations for a general audience
