Write Up Inspector

Research and inspect incoming cars for defects and repairs required by governing regulations, repair standards, and customer specifications. Prepare paperwork for repair write-ups, ensuring accurate labor and material estimates with proper coding for billing. Identify repairs and assign responsibility based on Guardian Rail's policies and pricing matrices to maintain estimate correctness and profitability. Interface daily with railroads, lessees, outside inspectors, and marketing groups to expedite the repair process while supporting quality projects and environmental safety initiatives. Requires a high school diploma, three years of railroad repair experience, and detailed knowledge of FRA and AAR rules.
