Job Summary
High school wrestling program seeks a Head Coach with responsibilities including maintaining athletic academic standards, directing the training and performance of varsity athletes, supervising and evaluating assistant coaches, coordinating with the athletic director for insurance and scheduling, and promoting sportsmanship and school pride. The role also includes acting as a positive influence, ensuring medical examinations for athletes, organizing recruitment of supporting staff (equipment managers, scorekeepers, statisticians), and advising on schedules and officials. Assistant coaching duties emphasize teamwork and program integrity. CPR and First Aid training are required, with preferred Virginia teaching license or classified-employee background in Loudoun County Public Schools. Open vacancies include Wrestling, Boys Assistant Coach and Wrestling, Boys JV Head Coach; location Stone Ridge, VA. Part-time position within a high school athletics program.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport which you are applying for on high school or college levels.
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course.
- Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
- Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
