Job Summary
Wrestling Assistant Girls Coach for USD 497 in Lawrence, KS. Full-time twelve-month supplemental contract. Responsibilities include maintaining roster records, enforcing KSHSAA rules, supervising practices and locker room security, advising students, reporting injuries, coordinating uniform/equipment checkout, and supporting the head coach and athletic program. Required qualifications include CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain, and sport-specific participation; coaching experience preferred. Additional duties may involve scouting, assisting with eligibility, and participating in staff meetings. Compensation includes a seasonal stipend of $3,541 (amount paid over the season) and related employment terms.
Required Qualifications
- Sport specific participation
- Coaching experience (preferred)
- Must be CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain and maintain certification
- KSHSAA pre-participation physical exam, notarized insurance & medical release, and tryout/participation agreement forms
- Enforce all rules of the Kansas State High School Activities Association
- Maintain roster and supervise practices
- Report injuries to proper school officials
- Organize equipment checkout and track accountability
- Assist head coach and athletic program coordination
- Attend staff meetings and assist with scouting
- Travel as needed
