Job Summary
Assist Head Coach in developing and promoting the high school wrestling program across levels from 8th grade through varsity; analyze opponent strategies, assess student athletes’ performance, and develop game plans; instruct athletes to improve skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork; maintain records of statistics, eligibility, and safety; supervise student managers and volunteers; coordinate off-season clinics, fundraising, and budgeting; collaborate with coaching staff to ensure safe, compliant, and engaging practice and competition environments; travel to off-campus athletic events as needed; require certifications and clearances including NFHS coaching, First Aid, CPR/AED, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 60 college credit hours minimum and completion of NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching course OR Missouri State Teaching Certificate
- Sports First Aid Training
- CPR/AED Training
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
