WPP SSC MY | Analyst - SSC Finance [Fullset Accounting]

Job Summary
Manage period-end financial close activities and execute balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving intercompany balance mismatches. Collaborate with SSC RTR teams to process general ledger entries and conduct variance analysis against budgets. Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards and local regulatory requirements while preparing and submitting direct and indirect tax returns. Actively participate in statutory and internal control audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Liaise with SSC PTP and OTC teams to ensure vendor invoices and intercompany billing are posted before monthly cut-offs. Escalate critical issues to senior analysts and team leads to track resolution efficiently. This role supports WPP's global finance operations across 100+ markets, requiring fluency in English and experience in an MNC/SSC environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.)
- Minimum 1 - 2 years relevant experience in accounting function
- Experience in using ERP system
- Experience in using Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong aptitude for numbers
- Proficiency in financial accounting principles
- Ability to accurately interpret and apply accounting entries
- Highly proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage priorities effectively with minimal supervision
