Job Summary
Assess patients with acute and chronic wounds, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal healing outcomes. Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques, including dressing changes, cleansing, and pressure redistribution. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate services and document progress while participating in quality improvement initiatives. Stay current with evidence-based practices through ongoing education and training. This full-time role with Ascent Healthcare Management in Asheville requires a current LPN or RN license and at least one year of wound care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license
- Ability to lift and move patients, as well as equipment and supplies, with or without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled Nursing experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care preferred, with a strong desire to develop your skills in this specialty
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
