WOUND MEDICINE TECHNICIAN

WOUND MEDICINE TECHNICIAN provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or provider, performing wound-related tasks such as dressing removal and cleansing, taking wound photos, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment areas, instrument sterilization, and dressing application. Responsibilities include inventory control, assisting with cultures/labs, charting in EHR, coordinating appointment confirmations and patient status reporting, and traveling to neighboring clinics within a 60-mile radius. Requires ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds, effective communication, adherence to infection control policies, OSHA standards, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS, TB and Flu vaccination, with preferred experience of at least one year in a medical office or health care setting.
