Job Summary
Treatment Nurse responsible for implementing physician-prescribed care for residents, including wound care and medication administration, observing wounds and notifying physicians of progress or changes, updating and implementing plans of care, accurately charting nursing notes, and communicating with physicians, residents, and families. The role includes assisting physicians and other health professionals during visits, participating in staff orientation and ongoing training, and supporting facility surveys as requested by administration. Strong communication, clinical nursing skills, and a compassionate approach are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility
- Current license as RN or LVN
- Current CPR certification
- Must maintain continuing education for licensing
- Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred
