Job Summary
Provide and document direct patient care for adults, geriatric patients, and occasionally infants or pediatric patients under the direct supervision of a wound care clinician. Ensure a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment during all interactions. Maintain Basic Life Support certification upon hire. This role supports wound dressing, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing within the wound care team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS certification through AHA

- Patient Care Tech
- Athletic Training
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Paramedic
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Medical Assistant
- 1 year of patient care experience
- 2 years direct care with patients including wound dressing and assisting with minor surgical procedures
- Ability to perform diagnostic testing and checklist completion
- Experience with Doppler use
- Experience in billing and use of databases
