Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in the Hyperbaric and Wound Care department. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis, alongside prolonged standing and walking each shift. Requires a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Work three days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year Wound Care experience
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
