Wound Care (RN)

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate ostomy care for patients on units. Provide advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff regarding complex wound drainage, drainage confinement, skin protection, and prevention of pressure necrosis. Develop and conduct educational programs for staff while determining appropriate nursing interventions for identified patient problems. Create patient care plans and select stoma sites prior to surgery based on patient anatomy, activity level, and lifestyle. Supervise clinical staff members in relation to wound care.
