Job Summary
Assess residents for wound complications, develop individualized treatment plans, and administer interventions including dressing changes, debridement, and wound vac management. Monitor healing progress, document outcomes in the EMR, and educate staff on skin integrity protocols and pressure ulcer prevention. Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and therapists to coordinate holistic wound management while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in wound rounds and quality assurance initiatives to support optimal healing outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent)
- Willingness to obtain wound care certification
- Wound care experience
