Job Summary
Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for patients with complex wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. Assess symptoms, create treatment plans, monitor infections, and clean wounds while educating healthcare team members on proper wound management. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- WCC/WOCN certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Advanced skills to assess symptoms that require management of complex wounds
- Ability to create and implement treatment plans
- Ability to monitor infections and signs of various infections
- Ability to clean wounds
- Ability to educate other healthcare members in the area of proper wound care
