Job Summary
Provide primary skin care to residents with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders. Consult with the nursing team regarding assessment evaluations and assist in planning skin care treatments. Round with the physician, make daily unit rounds to prioritize tasks in a fast pace environment, and follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment. Direct and supervise Certified Nurse Aides while completing required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, or transfer. Chart and document per facility policy, promote teamwork, and demonstrate a high standard of ethics with the ability to make independent decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse – RN/LPN
- CPR Certified
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job
- Must successfully pass background and drug screening
- Knowledge of nursing and medical procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Able to make independent decisions
- Demonstrate excellent customer service
