Job Summary

Assess, develop, and evaluate individualized wound care treatment plans for residents with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and ostomies. Administer evidence-based treatments, monitor healing progress, and adjust plans as needed while performing routine skin assessments to identify breakdown risks. Collaborate with physicians, therapy, and dietary staff to optimize outcomes, educate families on prevention and care techniques, and evaluate nutritional status and pressure-relieving devices. Ensure accurate documentation of assessments and treatments while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility policies regarding infection prevention. Maintain an active Florida RN license with at least two years of experience, preferably in skilled nursing or rehabilitation, and bring wound care certification if available.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical assessment skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous wound care experience
  • Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or equivalent)
