Job Summary
Performs wound-care related patient management, including taking initial histories, conducting physical examinations, writing orders for medications and diagnostic tests, performing daily rounds, and preparing discharge summaries with post-discharge care instructions. Collaborates with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure optimal patient care. Requires Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner and NY State NP and RN licenses, plus a collaborative practice agreement or attestation. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Location: Plainview, NY; full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program
- National Board Certification in specialty area
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols filed with NYS Department of Education OR collaborative relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015
- Current BLS certification
