Job Summary
WOUND CARE NURSE LPN providing resident-centered nursing care focused on wound care, ostomies/continence disorders, and related treatments; responsibilities include evaluating or implementing treatment protocols for wounds, documenting care and resident responses, ensuring infection control practices, coordinating with physicians and facility staff, and supporting 24/7 nursing coverage. Key duties include charting, HIPAA compliance, overseeing non-licensed services, and communicating with residents, families, physicians, and regulators. Requires flexibility and ability to travel overnight occasionally. Licensure as an LPN and CPR/BLS certification required; nursing degree or diploma from an accredited program also required. The role emphasizes wound care expertise and adherence to facility, state, and federal guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- CPR trained and current BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited college or university
- Current LPN license to practice in the State
- 1 year of experience preferred; long-term care experience preferred
