Job Summary
Certified Wound Care Treatment Nurse to provide primary skin care to residents under medical direction; supervise nursing services; administer wound care treatments including wound cleansing, debridement, dressing changes, and application of topical medications; develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patient needs and physician orders; educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper wound care techniques and prevention; conduct wound assessments on admission and weekly; collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and dietitians to ensure coordinated care; maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records; stay informed about current wound care best practices and participate in wound care quality improvement initiatives; adhere to infection control protocols and comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies; per diem/prn hourly role with starting salary of $29.00+ per hour; location Dallas, TX; LVN/LPN license in Texas; minimum two years clinical nursing experience with wound care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse license in Texas
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year of wound care experience
- Proficiency in performing wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors, and team members
