Job Summary
Wound Care Clinician for Ohio Valley Manor Care Community in Ripley, OH. Responsible for wound assessment and determining the appropriate treatment, developing and implementing individualized wound care plans, cleaning and dressing wounds using sterile techniques, monitoring and documenting patient progress, and updating treatment plans. Educates patients and families on wound care and infection prevention, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, conducts data analysis and reporting, and participates in staff education and training. Requires Licensed LPN or RN in Ohio with at least one year of wound care and infection control experience; Infection Preventionist Training preferred or willingness to obtain. On-call rotation included; full-time position.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed LPN or RN in the state of Ohio
- One year of experience in wound care and infection control & prevention in a healthcare setting
- Infection Preventionist Training (CDC) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Advanced knowledge of wound care treatments & technologies
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal infection control regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Experience in patient education and support
- Ability to perform wound care procedures
