Job Summary
Wound Care Assistant / Transcriptionist supporting wound care clinicians in post-acute settings with patient care, wound assessment, wound dressing, dictation transcription, insurance verification, EMR data entry, and infection-control duties; requires ability to travel to multiple facilities in the New York area, HIPAA compliance, strong communication, and compassionate patient interactions.

- Ability to observe wounds and assist with procedures
- Ability to transcribe medical dictation

- Ability to lift and reposition patients

- Assist providers with minor wound care procedures and exams
- Wound dressings, patient care, repositioning, transferring, documentation
- Transcribe dictation into medical records
- Insurance verification and authorization, billing codes
- Obtain required documentation from medical record and send to corporate office
- Electronic Medical Record data entry
- Ongoing communication with nurses and liaison for ASWC and customer
- Maintain proper infection control as per protocol
