Job Summary
Wound Care APC at WellMed/Optum Care delivering inpatient/outpatient wound care, including evaluation and treatment of chronic wounds and edema, patient education, and collaboration with PCPs and other clinicians. Requires certification through AANP/ANCC/NCCPA, Texas licensure (Nurse or PA), and DEA license. Base salary with quality bonus; this role operates within a large, clinician-led care network with emphasis on evidence-based guidelines, managed care processes, EMR documentation, and interprofessional education. Location in East Houston, TX; on-site clinical responsibilities with potential for outpatient/home settings. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Physician Assistant license by the Texas State Medical Board
- Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
