Job Summary
Wound Care APC/NP/PA at WellMed within OptumCare in San Antonio/South Houston area seeking to provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic and complex wounds in outpatient and home settings. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating wounds, educating patients and families on wound care, documenting in EMR, coordinating with PCPs and specialists, and participating in education for clinicians and staff. Must hold national certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA), Texas licensure, and DEA license (or ability to obtain). Experience in managed care environment and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Base compensation ranges from $109,500 to $164,000 plus benefits; opportunities for professional development and career growth within OptumCare/WellMed.
Required Qualifications
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or NCCPA
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Texas State Medical Board
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to employment
