Job Summary
Wound Care APC/NP-PA will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with chronic and complex wounds in outpatient and home settings, monitor progress, and educate patients on wound care. The role involves providing care per current standards, advocating for patients, coordinating with ancillary services, completing EMR documentation, and educating patients, families, and other health care providers. Collaboration with peers and PCPs, participation in meetings, and involvement in clinician development are key components of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Texas State Medical Board Physician Assistant license
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to employment
