Job Summary
Wound Care APC (NP/PA) provides diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic wounds and edema in outpatient and home settings, tracks patient progress, educates patients and families on wound care, and documents in EMR per company standards. The role involves collaboration with peers across WellMed/OptumCare, participation in organizational education for clinicians and staff, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Physician Assistant license by the Texas State Medical Board
- Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
