Job Summary
Lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program in collaboration with nursing center management. Support central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products, while overseeing durable medical equipment related to the prevention and management of wounds. Complete required orientation training and certification within 90 days, attend monthly support calls, and apply knowledge of national wound guidelines and nursing home regulations to charting and incident reporting. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with some on-call responsibilities required.
Required Qualifications
- RN license (MPT/DPT with leadership review/approval)
- Commitment to attend monthly support calls
- National accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or commitment to complete Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire
- Knowledge and experience with clinical charting, incident reporting and investigation response
- Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team
- Experience in team building and demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management
- Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, PowerPoint skills
