Job Summary
Lead congregational worship during weekly services with musical excellence and spiritual authenticity by planning biblically grounded, theologically sound, and culturally engaging worship sets. Recruit, coordinate, and rehearse volunteer musicians and vocalists while preparing and distributing music, charts, and schedules in advance. Collaborate with the lead pastor and staff on services and events to maintain a healthy, encouraging team culture marked by humility, unity, and servant leadership. Perform approximately 10 hours per week at River Ridge Church in Spring Grove, IL. Compensation ranges from $400 to $500 per week, commensurate with experience, with growth potential toward a full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical values
- Proficient in either guitar or piano
- Experience leading worship in a church or ministry setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
- Agreement with the church's statement of faith, mission, and vision
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building and developing volunteer worship teams
- Familiarity with modern worship music and multigenerational styles
- Understanding of worship technology and equipment, and planning and presentation tools, or a willingness to learn (E.G, Planning Center & Propresenter)
