Job Summary
The Worship Leader will primarily oversee Sunday morning services, casting vision for contemporary worship, and leading a volunteer worship team. Key responsibilities include updating Planning Center, scheduling volunteers, and planning music aligned with sermon themes. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, communication skills, and a commitment to church values. A Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of worship leading experience are preferred, along with a capacity for fostering relationships and developing volunteers.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of worship leading experience
- A capable developer of musicians, vocalists and teams
- Has an active and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Practices personal spiritual disciplines and leads with humility, character, and love
- Able to clearly communicate and embrace Grace Chapel Church's mission, vision, values and strategy
- Experience leading volunteer teams, developing and equipping leaders
- A team player who cares more about the church’s mission than their own personal success
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple competing priorities
Desired Qualifications
- A gifted vocalist and/or instrumentalist (preferably guitar or piano)
- Gifted in worship leading as well as project management, organizational and administrative skills
- Strong time management skills including the ability to multi-task on various projects and priorities under fixed schedules and in pressure situations
- Relational skills and the ability to develop community life
- A self-motivated leader, capable of managing self and others, and effective in developing and implementing church systems
