Job Summary
Online Spanish Teacher responsible for creating curriculum in Ethos online learning environments, including helping students excel at AP Exams. Maintain regular synchronous sessions (minimum ten times a semester) ranging 45 minutes to one hour. Facilitate and grade assignments within 24-72 hours. Enter final grades after consultation with lead faculty/program director. Maintain regular contact with students and families at least 3 times per week. Communicate classroom activities and progress, respond to Ethos emails within one business day. Manage student behavior to keep students engaged; identify unique student needs and collaborate with team to address them. Alert supervisors to drops in grades/engagement; participate in required job-embedded professional development. Support Ethos mission, vision, and core values; endorse and abide by Ethos policies. Perform related work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in subject area (education)
- AP experience in subject area preferred
- Current teaching certificate in Secondary Education is required
- 3+ years teaching experience preferred
- Experience with reading AP Exams preferred
