Job Summary
Disassemble, analyze, and rebuild cryogenic pumps, accessories, and motors to optimize performance while operating drill presses, hydraulic presses, bench grinders, and cutting torches. Fit, align, and adjust components to close tolerances, document assembly clearances, and perform troubleshooting on incoming units. Rework parts as necessary and contribute to failure analysis when requested. Maintain tools and work areas in accordance with 5S principles and OSHA standards. Meet production schedules at 80% on-time rate and comply with all safety policies. Located at the Suwon Korea workshop; extended hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in shop environment
- Ability to read prints and schematics
- Analytical skills for cryogenic pumps
- Balancing skills related to cryogenic pump repair
- Ability to operate a laser alignment machine
- Thorough understanding of precision measuring instruments
- Detailed dimensional inspections of used components
- Knowledge of basic AC/DC circuitry
- Understanding of materials of construction
- Understanding of various system components (regulators, valves, solenoids, pressure relief devices, etc.)
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and handheld data entry devices
- Team player
- Communication skills – verbal, listening, interaction
- Drivers' license
- Lift 50-100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Installation, maintenance, repair of mechanical and electrical systems experience preferred
- Machining experience preferred
- Welder certifications preferred
- Cryogenic experience preferred
