Job Summary
Workshop Mechanic role in Quito, Ecuador for a 12-month temporary position. responsibilities include performing technical tasks in the workshop as per Team Leader instructions and manuals, supporting services/repairs on equipment and components, recording measurement data, interacting professionally with the WS team, FS back office, and customer representatives, reporting working hours and expenses per local/corporate procedures, ensuring work adheres to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer procedures, attending company and customer assignments locally or abroad, and demonstrating Wärtsilä values while complying with local rules and policies. Preferred skills include mechanical engineering knowledge, machining/energy process familiarity, ability to work shifts and extended schedules, strong communication and teamwork, with additional advantages in Microsoft Office, CAD, welding, and machine operation (lathe, milling, drilling) and measurement equipment usage.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical Superior Technology/Engineering
- Knowledge in machining, energy processes
- Able to work on shifts, weekends and extended schedules
- Communication skills

- Microsoft Office (advantage)
- Mechanical Drawing and CAD knowledge (advantage)
