Workshop Manager - Whangarei

Job Summary

Manage the day-to-day running of the Workshop, overseeing proactive and active maintenance for heavy vehicle brands including Volvo, MAN, Scania, BCI, and Mitsubishi. Lead a team of Diesel Mechanics while handling both diesel and petrol motors, with future involvement in EV decarbonization efforts. Report directly to the Regional Maintenance Manager and ensure strict adherence to Waka Kotahi regulations and health and safety priorities. Schedule runs Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend call-outs due to 24/7 bus operations. Required Qualifications

  • NZQA L4 Heavy Automotive Qualification/ equivalent automotive workshop experience
  • Current New Zealand Drivers' License Class 1
  • Experience managing staff
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25kgs
  • Candidates for this position must have the right to work in New Zealand at the time of application
