Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of tanker repairs, servicing, and maintenance at a state-of-the-art bulk liquid tanker repair facility in Bibra Lake. Lead and mentor supervisors, technicians, and fabricators while managing workshop scheduling, production planning, and labour allocation. Drive budgeting, job costing, and financial performance alongside strict compliance with AS2809, OH&S, and heavy vehicle modification regulations. Implement process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and act as the primary contact for clients to ensure service excellence. Maintain a zero-LTI environment and deliver high-quality workmanship within an accredited, safety-first workplace.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a senior mechanical or fabrication workshop management role
- Proven leadership skills
- Expertise in heavy vehicle repairs, mechanical servicing, and fabrication
- Strong financial acumen
- Hands-on experience with scheduling, production planning, and workforce management
- Technical knowledge of AS2809, OH&S, and heavy vehicle modification standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/job tracking software
- A strong safety mindset
- A thorough understanding of compliance regulations
