Job Summary
Provide group education and skill-building activities to program participants by implementing evidence-based curriculum with fidelity. Schedule, plan, promote, and deliver workshops while leading outreach and in-reach efforts to recruit community members. Sustain community partnerships, maintain ongoing contact with participants to build trusting relationships, and assist enrolled individuals collaboratively. Develop and maintain a calendar of educational sessions, follow program protocols, and complete required reports. Work with program staff to support vision and goals while participating in internal meetings and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of four years of experience in community education
- Valid California driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between sites for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to present information accurately and effectively both orally and in writing to individuals and groups
- Good verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, providers and other staff
- Ability to handle confidential materials and information in a professional manner
- Basic computer knowledge, Internet use, MS Office and Excel, data entry
- Work independently, take initiative, and be proactive
- Ability to analyze, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to track and manage time effectively
- Ability to plan and facilitate internal and community meetings
- Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or associates degree with minimum two years of experience in community education
