Job Summary
Allocate work to technicians to maximise efficiency and productivity while monitoring workshop performance against targets and KPIs. Track vehicle progress through the workshop to ensure timely completion and liaise with Service Advisors to maintain excellent customer communication. Provide technical support to colleagues and customers where required, ensuring all work is planned, scheduled, and managed effectively. Maintain high standards of quality control, compliance, and health & safety, manage stock control and workshop systems, and coach, motivate, and develop the workshop team. Report to the Aftersales Manager in a customer-focused automotive environment delivering services across electric vehicles, fleet, and mobile servicing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Workshop Controller or similar role
- Previous experience as a qualified technician (Level 3 preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent organisation and administration skills
- Strong IT skills and experience with workshop systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
- Good understanding of workshop financial performance and profitability
- Full UK driving licence (max 9 penalty points)
