Job Summary
Provide support for managers to resolve workplace relations matters and advise on employee relations and performance management issues. Advise and review reduction in force plans to ensure all legal requirements are met relative to employment laws including OWBPA, WARN, etc. Work with employees to resolve employee relations issues and concerns, and partner with legal to respond to external claims and agency audits. Provide training, resources, tools and templates to equip line management to more independently manage basic employee relations and performance management matters. Support the design and implementation of the organization's workplace relations programs, policies, and procedures. Provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees in interpreting CACI policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
- 3 years of significant experience in employee relations and conducting workplace investigations
- Experience with Employment Laws and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and outside contacts at all levels; both in verbally and written form
- Proven track record of partnering with legal, line management and HR leaders on workplace relations matters
- Earns the confidence and trust of others, delivers on commitments, demonstrates unwavering commitment to ethical conduct, and protects confidential information
- Knowledge of state and Federal laws pertaining to employment and labor, as well as a deep understanding of core HR policies and processes
- Strong analytical skills in order to interpret data necessary to identify trends and areas of risk
- Must be able work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail
- Ability to train managers and employees in a collegially diverse environment, both in classroom and virtual training delivery
- Ability to use diplomacy and tact in confrontational situations
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiations skills, as well as ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility, adaptability and ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Compliance or related field
- Professional certifications/designations such as PHR or SPHR
- Experience in the development of systems and tools as it relates to gathering and reporting employees relations metrics preferred
