Workplace Readiness Specialist TA

Develop resumes, reference lists, and applications for high school and middle school students while leading mock interviews and teaching pre-employment transition skills in the classroom. Assist teachers in modeling appropriate workplace behavior and help students establish relationships with co-workers and supervisors at work-based learning sites. Modify job tasks to accommodate student barriers and guide families through post-secondary education documentation. Monitor attendance and behavior to ensure progress toward measurable job readiness goals, providing feedback to case managers. Stay current on new technology, community resources, and assistive devices for people with disabilities. Maintain confidentiality and represent Oak Ridge Schools positively. Requires one year of experience working with students or adults with disabilities.
