Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations for a 120,000 sq. ft. London workplace, ensuring a safe, secure, and sustainable environment for employees, clients, and visitors. Own health and safety governance, including compliance evidence, workplace checks, emergency procedures, and DSE assessments, while managing readiness for ISO 45001, 14001, 50001, 22301, and 27001 audits. Partner with Technical Services on hard services, contractor compliance, and net-zero targets, and oversee third-party suppliers to maintain high service standards. Build trusted stakeholder relationships to support client activities and utilize occupancy data to drive space optimization for alterations and relocations. Manage the workplace experience team with a methodical approach to anticipate needs and respond effectively to incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Significant workplace experience or facilities management experience within a large, complex building, gained in-house or with a facilities service provider
- Practical knowledge of both soft and hard facilities services
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety, contractor management, emergency preparedness and facilities compliance
- Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to create accountability, support development and maintain high service standards through change
- Confident stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills, with the gravitas, empathy and visibility to become a trusted go-to contact
- A proactive, ownership-led and methodical approach, with the flexibility and composure to anticipate needs, maintain evidence and respond effectively to incidents and changing priorities
- Strong analytical skills and experience using workplace or occupancy data to guide space planning and operational decisions
- Experience in a similarly dynamic environment
- Familiarity with MyCompliance
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience supporting ISO 45001, 14001, 50001, 22301 and 27001 audits
- IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent
- Member of IWFM
